After graduating Cum Laude and completing his Post Graduate Degree in Property Studies at the University of Cape Town, Zane began his career at several high-worth property portfolios, including Old Mutual and the Public Investment Corporation (PIC) where he oversaw a portfolio of large projects and acquisitions, including the V&A Waterfront.
Following the PIC, Zane started his first company, Proventus Property, which initiated, designed and managed several residential and commercial developments, including modern-living and luxury residential estates. In 2017, Flyt Property Investment was founded as a Joint Venture between Proventus Property and a larger financial partner. Under his leadership, Flyt’s mandate is to seek and execute investment opportunities that not only create value for shareholders, but contribute positively to the built environment landscape of the Cape.

Sebastian is earning a reputation in the South African architectural design industry as somewhat of a specialist ‘out-of-the-box’, thinker. Kicking off his architectural career with the likes of Stefan Antoni Architects and DHK Architects has served him well and allowed him many an opportunity to explore his creative side.
His affinity for commercial and multi-storey developments has taken him as far afield as Australia and Malta, where he worked as a design partner on various international projects.

Lauren Barnard

Lauren grew up in the Jacaranda City (Pretoria) where she graduated in Service Management Cum Laude for Hospitality, Tourism, Travel and Leisure. Her studies took her abroad to the United States on a hotelier internship for the Ritz Carlton Naples Florida and returned to South Africa fulltime to join the acclaimed Singita Private Game Reserves in The Kruger National Park. She has always known that working with people is her forte and customer service excellence was ingrained in her from early years. The only city she hadn’t lived in but dreamed of calling home was Cape Town. This is where Lauren truly found her niche and worked with some of the best hotels in the city.
Her passion and contribution to the industry has grown and as a result, in 2018 she completed her Tour Guiding course through CATHSSETA and is an accredited Western Cape Tour Guide. As a proud tourism and travel business owner of Island View Tours, Lauren has had the opportunity to start up a brand and create fantastic opportunities of employment for people within the tourism sector. Running a profitable and well-respected touring business for two and a half years that is self-sustained. Lauren has returned to the hospitality sector and will continue to build upon a successful track record in sales and hotel management for FLYT Property.

Darryn is an experienced built environment professional. He sources, assembles and closes out real estate transactions for listed capital, private equity and ultra-high net wealth clients across all property sub-sectors – from retail shopping centres to industrial, commercial, residential and student accommodation assets, including new project developments.
After completing a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance and Economics, for the past 15 years, Darryn has been privileged to be involved in unique commercial projects in the financial advisory, property and corporate consulting sectors, focusing on asset management and long-term client value protection. His most memorable periods include serving as Director at the family boutique property firm, structuring alternative investment deals for FirstRand clients, and working on Carbon Credit and Renewable Energy consulting projects.
Having engaged with certain members of the Flyt Property team in the past, Darryn is extremely excited to be a part of the organisation as an Investment Consultant, building shareholder value for investors through his knowledge, expertise and global business network.
